CDデビュー以降センターポジションを務め、2020年1月まで欅坂46の中心メンバーとして活動した。
2018年9月公開の映画『響 -HIBIKI-』では映画初出演にして初主演を果たし、「第42回日本アカデミー賞」で新人俳優賞、「第31回日刊スポーツ映画大賞・石原裕次郎賞」で新人賞、「第28回日本映画批評家大賞」で新人女優賞（小森和子賞）を受賞。
2021年1月公開の映画『さんかく窓の外側は夜』にヒロイン・非浦英莉可 役として、2021年公開の映画『ザ・ファブル 第二章』に佐羽ヒナコ役として出演が決定している。
In August 2015, Yurina Hirate was qualified as one of the first-generation members of Keyakizaka46.
She had been performing as the choreography center since the group’s CD debut and was the core member of Keyakizaka46 until January 2020.
In September 2018, Hirate made her film debut acting as the leading role in the film “Hibiki” and won the Newcomer of the Year Award in the 42nd Japan Academy Film Prize, the Best Newcomer Award in the 31st Nikkan Sports Film Award, and the New Actress Award in the 28th Japan Movie Critics Award.
She will be in the film “The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window” (in theaters January 2021) as the heroine Erika Hiura, and “The Fable: Chapter Two” (in theaters 2021) as Hinako Saba.
