@Some Kodo members, as well as ex-members who maintain management or performing links with Kodo, are respected performers in their own right and are involved in solo tours and appearances. Motofumi Yamaguchi : Our artistic director and principal shinobue (flute) player Motofumi Yamaguchi often makes both solo and guest appearances in Japan. Our senior odaiko player Yoshikazu Fujimoto is also in great demand for guest appearances, and in 1993 he performed with butoh dance master Kazuo Ohno.
Leonard Eto : Ex-player Leo continues to be managed by Kodo and took part in Rheinhard Flatishler's European "Megadrums" tours as well as launching his fusion experiment "Leo Project" in 1993.
Ryutaro Kaneko : Jang-gwara and Okedo soloist, Ryutaro appeared in Sapporo and gave his first duo performance with Aja Addy.
