Born 1953 in Okinawa, writer and painter Bokunen Naka is an expert of the Ryukyu (Okinawan) archaic language which he taps for the lyrics he writes for modern Okinawan singers. There will be an exhibition of his brilliantly coloured and exuberant woodcuts.
