＜和文＞ Galileo Galileiと一緒に楽曲制作をして一番感動した事は、メンバー3人の共同作業/コラボレーションに対する強い責任感です。彼らは常にお互いの考えをぶつけ合いながら理想的なアイデアを生み出しています。確かに雄貴は歌担当、仁司はベース担当、そして和樹はドラム担当。でも実際には皆がすべてを担当していて、いつでもお互いの意見が大歓迎されていました。ギターの部分を3人で作ったり、雄貴がボーカルのレコーディングをしている時に仁司や和樹が意見を言ったりと…このような姿をよく目にしました。でも、このやり方だと混乱を生じさせるのでは？と思うかもしれませんが、そんなことはありません。それは、3人が全く、もしくはほぼ同じ考えを常に持っているからなのです。 Galileo Galileiはコラボレーションを大事にするバンドなので、メンバーは僕の事を家族のように大いに歓迎してくれて、本当に光栄に思いました。今「Alarms」を聴くと、4人で曲を作りながら意見交換したことなど、スタジオでのやりとりを鮮明に思い出します。それぞれの曲に4人全員の性格がちゃんと聴こえてきます。常に生活も食事も吸う空気も同じバンドは、一緒に音楽を作らずにはいられません。さまざまな性格、世界中からの影響を取り入れて、新しくて、繊細で、予想外な音を作り出す事に恐れが無いバンド。Galileo Galilei のようなバンドがまだ存在している事を僕はとてもうれしく思います。 Galileo Galileiは特別なバンドで、特別なアルバムを作りました。聴いてくださるみなさんが、僕と同じくらいこのアルバムを気に入ってくれたら良いな…と思っています。 ＜英文＞ The thing that struck me most about working with Galileo Galilei is their true commitment to collaboration. here are 3 guys that are continuously bouncing off each other to perfect their ideas. it is true that yuuki sings, hitoshi plays bass, and kazuki plays drums, but in truth, everyone plays everything, and everyone's input is welcome. it was not uncommon to find all three working on a guitar part together, or hitoshi and kazuki giving yuuki feedback as he recorded vocals. you might think this would lead to chaos, but somehow it works, and all 3 of them always seem to be somewhere on the same page, if not on the exact same line. In the spirit of this band being a group of pure collaboration, the members of Galilei Galilei welcomed me into their family with open arms- and it was truly an honor! when i listen to Alarms now, i can picture vividly the four of us in the studio together, writing songs, responding and playing off each other. i can hear our four personalities in each song, in each recording, and it makes me happy to know that bands like Galileo Galilei still exist. bands that live and eat and breath together, so they cant help but make music together. bands that aren't afraid to incorporate a diverse range of personality, a diverse range of influences from all over the world, to create something that is new, nuanced, and unexpected. Galileo Galilei is a special band, and they have created a special album. i hope you enjoy it as much as i do.
