With the average age of 15 years old, ZONE has debuted in February in 2001. Their genre would be categorized as "Bandol", which is a new word meaning fusion of "band" and "idol." Currently, they're attending junior school while doing musical activity.

Their 3rd single, which was released in August 8th, 2001, marked a big hit by remaining in the top 10 single hit sales of the ORICON chart for 11 consecutive weeks, ranking 2nd at one point. Since their break, they have been making appearances in many TV and radio shows. They even took part in the 52nd Red-White music contest of 2001 (An annual new years eve music show). In February 14th, 2002, they released their long awaited first album, "Z", which included their first 4 singles. It ranked 2nd place of the ORICON album sales chart, on the first week of its sales. Their latest single, released on the same day, but not included in the album, also continues to make a big hit.

The group was named "ZONE" for two reasons and hopes.
Number one, because of the original meaning of the word "zone", i.e. "territory" or "domain". "In hopes that the members would go further beyond their limitless domain that they were born in". In hopes that they would expand their "zone" by believing in their potential power yet revealed and bright and energetic youth. In hopes that they would exceed their present "zone", starting from Sapporo, expanding to Hokkaido, throughout Japan, and then from Japan, throughout the world.
Number two, because the word "zone" starts with "z", which is the last letter of the alphabet. A start from "z", i.e. making a start from the bottom, from "zero", in hopes that they would aim for the top.

ZONE are;
MAIKO (Vocal & Bass)
TAKAYO (Vocal & Guitar)
MIYU (Vocal & Guitar)
MIZUHO (Vocal &Drums)
