"Lock and Roll Forever" is a co-venture between Sony Music Entertainment Japan and T&C Pictures. The moviefs filming locations include Salt Lake City, Los Angeles and the girls' home-town of Sakai, Osaka. The movie is slated to be released in both the US and Japan. "Lock and Roll Forever" is a movie about an all-girl Japanese band journeying to the U.S. to fulfill their dreams of stardom. ORESKABAND was chosen to be the feature role of this Japanese girl band. Producers are Barry Rosenbush and Bill Borden, the team behind the three iterations of "High School Musical". Script is penned by another member of the "High School Musical" team, Peter Barsocchini, and TV helmer, Chris Grismer, is directing. The featured stars of this movie are the six members of ORESKABAND and Lucas Grabeel from "High School Musical". Brad Dourif (Lord of the Ring), Taylor Negron, Ike Barinholtz, Naoko Nozawa also appear in starring roles. Besides their featured role in the movie, ORESKABAND will also be featured in the movie's musical soundtrack. US/Japan music industry veteran Kaz Utsunomiya is the music producer. Earlier this year ORESKABAND participated at this summer's Van's Warped Tour 2007. This tour took the girls to 7 western U.S. cities (Boise, Seattle, Portland, Fresno, Sacramento, San Diego and Los Angeles). During the Warped Tour, ORESKABAND performed alongside many other established U.S. bands. The 7 performances on the tour gave ORESKABAND the opportunity to gain a new fan-base in the U.S. On December 30, 2007, ORESKABAND will perform at Japanese Rock Event, "COUNTDOWN JAPAN 07/08".
