His music career originated on the streets. He started appearing at Harajyuku when the breakdance movement broke out. After playing at underground clubs in Tokyo, he was "discovered" by Europeans. That was sort of unexpected to him who HipHop worship. However, he is someone European fans and artists can respect. Because of the fact that he is from far east who seemed to be nowhere close to HipHop music like Europeans.
Then he climbed a ladder to be a world class HipHop artist. He has embodied every Japanese B boys dream. In "Only The Strong Survive" on the album "MEISO" and his latest work "MiLight", his mixes Japan's aesthetic elements with break beats as well as street noise born in Bronx. But at the same time, you hear such elements as Soul or Rock. And how popular it became? Well, DJ KRUSH became a very unique thing bridges among Europe, America and Japan(including other Asia areas). It is not only because HipHop does not have any boundary and HipHop does not require any language, it is mainly because he is so unique that this guy had consumed HipHop into his body so well
